Based at our Headquarters in Emeryville, CA, the Brand Marketing & Communications Team, has an immediate need for a passionate, results-oriented and innovative marketer to lead the regional strategy and key initiatives for our Exclusive and Proprietary brands.
You will drive the development and execution of brand strategy and multi-platform marketing plans, while managing brand financials and a marketing budget to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Partnering with internal and external teams, you will develop and execute integrated consumer and retail programs to drive business growth. You will ensure executional excellence, managing the day-to-day demands in addition to larger projects, ensuring they are completed on time. You will also effectively analyze sales data to understand business trends and provide recommendations that impact day-to-day business needs, while effectively communicating with various teams in a matrixed organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop strategic brand plans with the Director of Marketing to achieve company key results and consumer communication metrics.
Responsible for driving brand revenue and profitability against financial targets
Create, execute and manage a fully integrated brand plan, including consumer communications strategy and retail strategy.
Develop brand financial strategy, including annual pricing; manage marketing budget.
Analyze and track marketing campaign performance to drive decision making, while keeping informed of competitive activity in the category
Provide timely, consistent and accurate communication of brand activity and key information to internal and external partners
Partner with the Sales organization to drive brands at retail, including leading sales and marketing meeting presentations and support retailer-specific programs and activations
Manage all branding opportunities; advertising, trade shows and retail collateral
Manage one direct report - Assistant Brand Manager
Education and Experience Requirements:
2-3 years of progressive brand/strategy experience in a forward thinking consumer focused organization.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related field.
Functional experience and/or knowledge will include:
Proven ability to transform a strategy and vision into actionable plans in a rapidly-changing organization
Expertise at executing a fully integrated marketing plan with excellence
Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to build strong, lasting relationships across the organization
Ability to make informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track
Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
An interest or knowledge of art supplies, or the desire to learn about art materials
