The developers at U.S. News have a great deal of independence and a minimum of overhead. You'll get to experiment with interesting technology and see your work enter production regularly.
We have a diverse environment, with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X machines living side-by-side. The majority of our work is in developing and maintaining applications on Python web frameworks, specifically Django.
Developers typically see applications through from beginning to end, working directly with project owners to create, implement, upgrade, optimize, and test features and projects.
We offer a casual work environment. Our offices are in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C.

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with responsive web development
- Knowledgeable on web page performance practices
- Basic understanding of SEO practices

- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with Ads
