We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our growing creative team at Combined Jewish Philanthropies - the 5th largest philanthropic organization in Massachusetts and the fastest growing large-city Jewish federation in the country.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Creative Services, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for CJP creative design output, including print and digital assets. This responsibility includes ideation, collaboration, presentation and execution of branding and marketing communications campaigns across all channels.
The Graphic Designer will help us evolve our current work as well as explore new opportunities - while supporting the strategic goals of the creative group and the larger organization.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Concepting and designing creative projects for the CJP brand and internal clients including but not limited to; print, online, social media, and web.
Delivering exceptional creative designs that work seamlessly across print and digital assets based on CJP's objectives, priorities, challenges and successes and help the organization and clients attain their marketing objectives.
Presenting and selling creative concepts, big ideas, and innovative solutions.
Managing project workflow, deadlines, and strategic priorities.
Communicating regularly with Senior Director regarding challenges, opportunities, suggestions and improvements.
Deliver design solutions that represent the CJP brand, align with marketing strategies and meet high creative and communications standards.
Review specific creative assets to ensure they have the correct design elements, content and overall look and feel specific to the assignment.
Manage priorities and work flow.
Attend appropriate input meetings ensuring clear, complete briefs and useful feedback from clients.
Have meetings/discussions with key clients as needed.
Collaborate with traffic, account management and clients on a range of projects.
Keep current on trends and innovations in advertising, marketing and technology.
Perform other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
BA/BFA degree or equivalent knowledge or experience.
3-5 years as a graphic designer in an ad agency or in-house marketing department with experience in project management and developing/selling high-caliber creative concepts.
Must have strong design skills and portfolio.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and InDesign. Knowledge of AfterEffects, FinalCut Pro a plus.
Must have basic understanding of interactive principles including web design/development.
Must be a social media user and advocate.
Must possess a solid understanding of photography, illustration, printing, filming and editing.
Must have strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Must have ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
Must have exceptional attention to detail.
Must have a sense of humor.
Ability to think strategically and apply concepts
Ability to collaborate and build ideas in groups
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work within limited budgets
