In your role as Junior Designer, you will be responsible for:

Planning, creation and execution of print materials, including:

  • Brainstorming concepts, organization, messaging and design;
  • Collecting, organizing, and editing project assets;
  • Drafting creative, different and unique design options based on team input, client needs and project restrictions;
  • Assimilating CLC team and client feedback and ushering design through collaborative editing process;
  • Preparing print-ready files for production, coordinating with clients and printers, and archiving final work for CLC records;
  • Collaborating with other CLC employees and subcontractors in completing work above; and
  • Updating skills and knowledge base as is prudent and necessary for the industry.

Planning, creation and execution of websites and other digital design products, including:

  • Brainstorming concepts, organization, messaging and design;
  • Collecting, organizing, and editing project assets;
  • Evaluating WordPress themes, wire framing, creating mockups, styling and implementing sections and shortcodes (based on team input, client needs and project restrictions) and browser testing;
  • Assimilating CLC team and client feedback and ushering design through collaborative editing process;
  • Preparing digital image files for production, editing html/css files, coordinating with clients and programmers, and archiving final work for CLC;
  • Collaborating with other CLC employees and subcontractors in completing work above; and
  • Updating skills and knowledge base as is prudent and necessary for the industry.

Design, editing and management of process and production for other marketing materials (including but not limited to signage, books, apparel and ad specialties).

Maintaining a workspace that is connected, protected, efficient and professional, including:

  • A capable computer system with daily backup and virus protection (CLC may provide equipment);
  • A fast internet connection and a "plan B" for possible service disruptions;
  • A reliable phone connection and quiet atmosphere for audio communications; and
  • Uncluttered, comfortable surroundings, free of distractions and full of inspiration.
