Eric D. Fields

Web Designer & Developer

Eric Fields

Cambridge, MA

A web designer and front-end developer with a passion for user experience. I am extremely proficient in front-end development technologies: HTML, CSS, and Javascript. jQuery is my preferred Javascript library, though I've worked on long-term projects using Prototype.js and MooTools.

Websites need to be bulletproof and gracefully degrade: all users should have a good, coherent experience but those with the latest browser technologies get extra goodies like CSS3 selectors. Accommodating Internet Explorer 6-8 is commonplace for me.

I've worked within a variety of back-end frameworks: PHP, ColdFusion (with Mach-II), JSP, and most recently, GWT, and routinely work on source-controlled projects with Subversion. I'm a Mac guy.
