Howard Hill is a writer.
He tells brand stories. He’s told them for some great brands, some scrappy brands and a couple brands that aren’t around anymore (rest easy, Saturn and Cingular). He's sullied Chris Farley’s memory (allegedly), shot a Super Bowl spot that never aired, did a bunch of spots with Pytka that just got weird, fought the political establishment and still holds a roughly .800 lifetime batting average in pitches. He’s a good dude. You should hire him.

Saturn "Guerrilla Gauges." In 2008, a full tank was a thing of beauty. So we went out and found that feeling around town.
LA's Good Magazine ran these "GOODSheets" in Starbucks. We made sure Saturn was the sole advertiser.

Back in 2006, TV on your cell phone was kind of big deal. So rather than make one campaign, we made two. Let the people decide.

The Webby Awards LP - LBi NY
We all love the web in our own way. So to promote first Webby Awards webcast we ran with it.
We didn't have any money but we did have fun with these little promo videos.
Users traditionally hit the People’s Voice site, voted in their category and bailed. We wanted to change that.
We wanted users to vote the same way they surf: on whatever interests them. We called the idea “Web By You."
By sniffing users’ Facebook likes we were able to surface suggestions for them to vote on.
And of course, we made it as social as possible so you could see what your friends were voting on.
We then used what they voted on to assign them one of 48 web personality types, complete with a crazy-sharable avatar.
Then everyone was assigned their own web personality type. Like Gadget Guru.
Or Art Snob.
Or Filmaholic.
The Outtakes
We asked for two things: look like Garth from behind and lead into Kim Basinger's line. We got one.
