Interactive Designer

PBS seeks talented candidates for Interactive Designer. The designer will provide design and production support to the General Audiences, Product and Strategy teams under the direction of the Creative Director including working with vendor and will act as lead on assigned design tasks. Key responsibilities include:

• Produce wireframes, comps and final cuts for assigned design tasks;
• Produce and optimize graphics from comp stage;
• Hand-code HTML pages, including DHTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, Flash;
• Work closely with members of the PBS Interactive strategy, product, content, design and technical teams on multiple projects.

Candidates must possess 4+ years experience in design role; 4+ years experience in web production role (HTML coding and graphic production); Evidence of design & production skills demonstrated in Web portfolio. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, equivalent work experience considered. Prior experience in graphic design role required.
