Heavy iron has most recently released Wall-E the video game based on Disney/Pixar's "Wall-E" feature film.
Wall-E is Heavy Iron's most recent console game and was developed across Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems! Previous video game projects include Disney/Pixar’s Ratatouille, "The Incredibles" and "The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer” as well as Nickelodeon's The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie game and SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. Both “The Incredibles” and The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie games shipped internationally across all console platforms and sold through well over three million units each!
Job Type: Full Time The Positions: User Interface Artist (ART#110) We are currently looking to hire a User Interface Artist on an upcoming high-profile title.
The UI Artist will be responsible for working within an existing UI Group to design and implement the game’s user interface.
A solid design background and a confidence in both Flash and Photoshop are required. All candidates must submit a link to their portfolio and/or demo reel along with their resume.
Qualifications: • A portfolio demonstrating outstanding Design, illustration, and layout skills. • Advanced working knowledge of the following software applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Demonstrated ability to work self-directed when necessary. • Demonstrated ability in providing art critiques, both visual and verbal • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and visual • Formal art education, BFA from an accredited art/design school preferred
Responsible for: • Designing and implementing the User Interface components: • Front End menus and screens • In-game HUD (heads up display) elements • Problem solving and bug fixing for both technical and design issues related to User Interface Design.Pluses: • Strong interest in games • Strong traditional drawing and painting skills
