We have an immediate opening for the position of Network Operations Engineer to support our talented software development and information technology team in our New York office. This position is responsible for monitoring, and supporting Hosted Websites and Application on a Tier 1 distributed environment. The ideal candidate must have at least 4 years of experience with the Windows Server Architectures and must have familiarity with Windows 2003, IIS6.0, MS SQL, and configuring and deploying.NET applications. Must have a willingness to do whatever it takes to provide the best customer experience to our clients and internal staff. Candidate must display attention to detail, be able to organize time effectively, and work under extreme deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor production , application, web and database environments
• Administer, troubleshoot and support, providing confirmation of issues and events
• Follow problem diagnostic and escalation procedures when necessary
• Open, track and assign requests in a support ticket tracking system
• Offer general support to internal operations team
• Evaluate and implement monitoring tools and process
• Perform installation/setup of hardware/software as well as infrastructure equipment
• Perform software updates and code fixes
• Work closely with other groups within the organization to provide support when necessary

Qualifications:

• BS computer science or related field
• Scripting/programming experience (.NET a plus)
• Familiar with monitoring systems for large scale eCommerce websites or Transactional Systems
• Experience supporting website applications on the windows server platform
• Experience working in the customer support /help desk role
• Excellent at explaining server/software issues to coworkers, management team and clients
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills, communication and documentation skills
