Idea Couture is seeking an Information Systems Analyst / Strategist who is comfortable working in a very dynamic, creative, fast paced and friendly environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze, design, test, and document web based platforms
• Assist clients in identifying web-based business and functional requirements
• Work with designers to ensure requirements are reflected in the online interface
• Guide technology developers / coders to ensure that technical platforms are built to specifications
• Work with quality assurance team to ensure code meets high standards and lowest defect thresholds
• Create and maintain high quality project specifications, project plans, business requirements, functional requirements high level business solutions and architecture, testing and other project documentation
• Deliver business and project feasibility analysis and recommendations
• Conduct client status meetings and lead business requirements gathering sessions
• Provides a focal point for integration across multiple departments on key initiatives
• Manage one or more assignments concurrently
• Liaise with internal and external clients at all levels

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years experience in developing requirements for online / web application development
• University or college degree in a relevant discipline
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience applying these skills to resolve application design considerations and technical issues.
• Solid understanding of software development, web development models, methodologies, and technologies.
• Project management experience an asset
• Experience with Fortune 500 companies and well known brands an asset
• Experience in open source development (either from an analyst or developers perspective) an asset
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with people of multiple skills set and backgrounds, and at all levels within an organization.
• Energy and ability to work well with others in a client-focused, innovative environment.
• Flexibility - demand can be cyclical in nature and the successful candidate must be ready to put in an extra effort at peak times.
