STATE OF TOMORROW is seeking a web developer starting on a project basis 8-12 wk term (possible full time basis thereafter).
We are a youth focused marketing agency that provides full service solutions to its clients.
We are seeking a self-starting developer to work alongside our close knit team in developing the CMS.
The ideal applicant gets excited about the opportunity of producing a CMS with drag n drop features or developing tools for video encoding.
Our latest web project (http://www.ports1961.com) has redefined how customers experience luxury brand content & ecommerce. This site has propelled our company forward as THE NEW BREED for fashion companies seeking an amazing online solution.
We also recently developed http://www.autobarn.com.au which is a strong example of HTML 5 / jQuery work.
We are seeking someone who can produce clean code (fresh or adapted) in an efficient manner. This person is multi-disciplined with a strong understanding of Javascript (JQuery) / PHP / CSS & HTML.
This person loves finding better ways to develop and wants to inspire all those around them.
Key points:
- Able to work with existing creative & web staff and push current thinking
- Expert knowledge in using Javascript (jQuery) and AJAX
- Very strong in CSS & HTML (5)
- Strong skills in using PHP & MySQL and writing efficient queries
- Ideal applicant would have knowledge of Codeignitor framework
- Experience in both producing own code and adapting open source projects
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented development and MVC
Other demonstrable skills:
- XML design
- Experience using LAMP environment
- Possible flash experience
Favorable experience in:
- Product based CMS development (ie fashion product w images, sizes, color etc)
- User interface systems
- Multi user access projects
This ideal applicant is self motivated and ready for a challenge. A 'can do' attitude with a strong focus on solution based thinking.
This role is located in our office in Los Angeles (West Hollywood) but would review an offsite applicant. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
