IA Lead/ Senior IA

The Experience Lead is an idea person who can sell "the big idea" to the client, but who also does hands on work. We are seeking a User Experience Lead with deep experience in the area of Information Architecture. The User Experience Lead will be responsible for leading the project teams on to create compelling, insightful solutions. This is a crucial role as it requires an ability both to lead the project team and the client through a user-centered design process, to develop meaningful experiences, and to execute on those concepts.

Responsibilities: • Taking a leadership role in developing the strategy, information architecture and content strategy • Understanding target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and translate them into concepts • Working closely with clients to translate business requirements into meaningful interactive experiences • Leading and/or participating in user research and usability testing • Developing user personas and scenarios to clarify results of user research and focus the team's design efforts on the needs of key users

Job qualifications • 5+ years experience as an information architect, interaction designer, or content strategist (or similar role) • Master's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field, such as library science, graphic design, or human-computer interaction • Demonstrated ability to develop big ideas, and execute flawlessly against them in a highly collaborative environment • Demonstrated experience developing and managing emerging media/solutions • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions • Willingness to travel
