Senior Interactive Designer

The ideal candidate will possess solid design, typography and composition skills with a sharp attention to detail, positive attitude and innovative thinking. Your portfolio should include samples from a variety of premium clients that demonstrate a wide range of visual executions working across micro sites to larger CSS driven sites and dynamic Flash sites. Candidates should have approximately 3-5 years of design experience and be fluent in standard interactive design software tools.

Technical Excellence:

• Minimum 3-5 years of directly related experience including interface design.
• Expert level knowledge of design tools and applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, CSS/HTML is required and an advanced level of Flash/ Actionscript (1,2 and 3).
• Ability to connect back-end functionality with front end design
• Understands the importance of web site performance and is motivated to design for optimization.
• Solves complex design problems through research, analysis and a strong understanding of technology tools.
• Possesses sufficient knowledge to constructively challenge current practices or approaches.
• Any 3D animation skills preferred but not necessary (swift 3d, Maya, 3Dmax...)
• Basic knowledge and ability to incorporate Adobe Aftereffects also preferred

Creativity:

• Grounded in design fundamentals including composition, color theory, typography, identity systems, concept development and motion design.
• Designs and executes graphical interface treatments for on-line multimedia software products resulting in clean, tight, detailed, screen designs. Articulates multiple concepts and ideas quickly with good storyboarding skills.
• Works closely with Art Director to create and design visual treatments that meet Strike Interactive and client specifications.
• Provides creative leadership in the development of the look and feel of the assigned project and for the designers of the project team.
• Understands information architecture, user interface essentials, interactive design, brand image management and style guide creation.
• Must have an excellent portfolio of work and evidence of depth of knowledge in interactive.
