Account Supervisor

PURPOSE OF POSITION The Interactive Account Supervisor (IAS) directs and coordinates all day-to-day interactive efforts on the accounts to which he/she is assigned. The IAS serves as a key contact between the Agency and the Client and with the help of the Interactive Account/Project Managers, ensures delivery of the highest quality work in the fastest, most cost-effective manner. The IAS builds and strengthens internal, external and Client relationships; supervises daily activity and development of the Account/Project Manager; and together with the entire account team, provides sound and responsible marketing counsel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific Duties: - The Interactive Account Supervisor manages client projects and takes an active role in all disciplines (marketing, creative, media, research, database) from planning to completion, including:
-Developing an in-depth understanding of the client’s business(es) and the competitive landscape – and sharing that knowledge with the entire account team on an ongoing basis -Participation in development of strategies for client projects -Analyzing results throughout campaign in order to make and implement changes as required -Financial Management - Manage budgets/resources on job to job basis -Manage information flow, follow up on request promptly -Exercise diligence to minimize process mistakes and Client/Agency losses -Error-free management of Interactive processes -Delegate effectively -Use consumer insights and competitive information, to write superior strategy which motivates superior work -Participate in Client/Agency initiated researches -Develop superior selling skills to ensure best possible creative gets sold -Manage client expectations throughout process -Ensure best possible quality of final product
Creative: -Position self as leader in all group and briefing meetings -Approving creative briefs (with Account/Project Managers support) -Reviewing creative briefs with creative and production departments and disseminating all relevant information -Supervising creative execution and adhering to client identity/corporate guidelines -Evaluating creative product against brief to ensure solution is on-strategy and meets Client marketing needs -Supporting Creative in “selling” creative product to Client
Account Maintenance/Daily Support: -Supervise Direct Reports – Account/Project Managers -Supervise Account/Project Managers on the development of and adherence to schedules and budgets (with other departments as required) -Build Agency and Client relationships -Maintain overall quality control and adherence to DraffFCB internal processes -Approve/draft conference reports, documenting Agency/Client interaction and decisions -Approve weekly status reports (overseeing AM/PM) -Assist Account lead with managing and analysis of billing -Review of (or preparation of) monthly BCR and other financial reporting -Work with AM to define individual goals -Help AM/PM develop positive, productive relationships with Client and within Agency -Supervise and evaluate AM/PM growth regularly through verbal and written communication/feedback, as well as through an annual review of performance (to be done with Account lead/Senior PM)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: -Minimum of five years Interactive Experience -Interactive Account Supervisor with 2 years of related agency experience -Business Degree preferred -Demonstrate knowledge of marketing tools and techniques in discussion/written communication -Demonstrate strong oral and written presentation skills -Can put together working presentations on strategy/creative -Can present confidently and persuasively to immediate client contacts

QUALIFICATIONS: -Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills -Excellent organizational skills -Decisive and effective problem-solving ability -Understands the rudiments of integrated marketing campaigns with a specific focus on Interactive -Team Player – working with non-dedicated resource pool -Strong leadership and client service skills -Proficient in Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint -Demonstrates an interest in advertising, societal and cultural trends and developments
