Storyteller, Director, Editor

Michael Ambs

Ypsilanti, MI

I am happiest in a creative environment - my time at NBC taught me experienced-and-streamlined workflows, from filming to editing to publishing, but I have always felt very at home behind the camera, or while making decisions in Final Cut.

My main goal, that influences all other projects I'm involved with, is to continue making content that I can honestly be excited and passionate about - I believe that shows in your work and people find that honest and appealing.

I have gained unmeasurable experience working on this film the last several years. My two months on the road, during production (in 2007), with an amazing working crew, taught me more than I had learned in the previous 8 years.

The project is a constant source of challenge and reward for me - from producing, to writing, to editing, to the camera operating, the website design, the online outreach, and every tiny details that goes into a labor of love film.
