Vancouver for Acumen Fund

  • On December 2nd, 2009, we had our first Ideas + Impact meeting for Vancouver for Acumen Fund.

  • We used the event to facilitate conversations and connections amongst the Vancouver supporters of Acumen Fund.
  • We also did a "Dignity" photoshoot, as a gift to the Acumen Fund and to help spread the Acumen Fund's primary message.

A Conversation with Canada's Former Governor General, Madame Adrienne Clarkson

  • On Tuesday, March 31st, 2009, I organized a Conversation with Canada's former Governor General, Madame Adrienne Clarkson.
  • The event was hosted at the beautiful Chan Centre in Vancouver, BC, and was facilitated by Irfhan Rawji.
  • We hosted a book signing after the event for her latest book, Extraordinary Canadians: Norman Bethune.
  • Over 500 attendees joined us for the conversation to hear her unique insights, sense of humour and compassion.
  • The event was recorded and can be listed to on the University of British Columbia's Alumni Channel on iTunes U.

YWiB + Beyond Pink 2008

  • The Young Women in Business (YWiB) Network was launched in March 2008.
  • As Co-Chair, I led a team of 25 talented young women to make this event a reality within three months.

JDC West

  • The JDC West Business Competition is the largest academic case competition in Western Canada.
  • Every year, the event brings together over 500 business students to compete in academic, athletic and social challenges.
  • I sat on the founding organizing committee, and in 2007, co-chaired the event at UBC.
  • Chillin for Charity is a national one-day polar bear swim, in support of national charities, such as the United Way and Raise-A-

Imagine UBC 2007

  • In 2007, I was the Orientation Coordinator for this day-long orientation program.
  • The event brings together over 5000 students, 700 student leaders, and countless staff, faculty & alumni.
  • I organized the Pep Rally, Imagine UBC's pinnacle event, featuring an academic procession & a speech from the UBC President
  • I was also responsible for organizing the orientation training of 700 MUG Leaders, upper-year students from the same faculty.
