Christopher has fourteen years’ experience in cartography, most recently as part of a specialist team at Ordnance Survey, focussed on how to turn data into a compelling story or argument through geographic visualization. His cartographic expertise is buoyed by an experience of large engineering projects at Capita and Arup; and a higher education in science, finance and management from the University of Southampton.
He has a keen interest in partnering modern methods and technologies with traditional excellence in cartographic design and his work includes automated cartography, common styling and much publicised maps of Mars and London. He is keen to expand his work into other areas of data visualisation.
