General info

San Diego, CA

Roberto Comparan’s works are snapshots of his state of mind. Utilizing vibrant colors, and familiar icons, he invites people to look beyond the surface and into a world that deconstructs familiarity. His use of contrasting ideas move a piece from being perceived as simple to being more complex in nature.

Although still quite young, the conceptual passions that would become the foundation of Roberto’s voice as an artist have been in his mind since he was child.

Roberto was born in Los Angeles, California. He currently lives and works as a pastor and graphic designer in San Diego, California for Seven San Diego Church. His hope is to continue to design and create art pieces that are reflective of his passion for God and his knowledge of God’s creative hand in popular culture.

His work has been featured in the Mojave Desert's Daily Press, on MTV’s TRL, has spawned an album single cover for Mariah Carey, has been showcased on local city billboards, mounted to high school gym walls, used for Yearbook covers, and has also been seen in brochures, postcards, and numerous publications for many different organizations.
