Anthony Simpson is a young upcoming North East based designer. His primary role is a freelance SEO Strategist working with flash and web design, but also has experience in video production and branding.

The design aspects are where Anthony’s passion lies. “I love working with new bold colours and textures, mixing old and new images” His work is inspired by bold pieces which show content in visual way. Anthony feels his web design gives him the chance to give monotonous bland websites a makeover to really catch the eye and the imagination of potential clients.

He has previously worked for the Scene Group and Grape Media while gaining a 1st in his Web Design & Development Degree at Newcastle College.

His main aim of this 2010 is to start developing in programme languages while continuing his design development. It is becoming increasingly difficult for young graduate designers to gain the work experience they need to work within the field. Established companies could help by offering more intern and work placements. Young graduates offer a fresh outlook and bring with them an enthusiasm which can only be beneficial.

    BRIEF & CONCEPT

    Blind Digital is a digital composer company which specializes in background music for xbox games. Blind Digital asked me to design and develop a website with the branding they had produced for the company.

    Kino Creative is well known business which handles advertise campaigns for Easy Jet. The main services they offer are print, web design, web development and viral campaigns.

    For the company my main roles were to edit flash templates, add new content to them, duplicate the same flash frames and make sure they worked the same as the other frames/ key frames. Other roles in the company were to design launch pages which would work with the sites search engine and designing flash ads in different dimensions.

    Projects: Easy Jet (ads 09), Chase Media, 24 7 Parking and Amdega.

    For this client I designed a colored layout and black & white layout which they decided to choose the black & white design. I then went onto finding some different ways to display the photographer work.

    My roles while working on this project were; designing the website, coding the website in CSS, HTML & PHP, testing across browsers, uploading the website and finding domain hosting.

    Software I used while making & designing the website were mainly Photoshop & Dreamweaver.

    Grape Media are a small web agency which offers such services like; web hosting, print, web design and web development. When working there for three weeks I worked on six different projects overall.

    My main roles while working with Grape Media were; design website mock ups, code websites if they got chosen into valid markup language.

    Software I used while I was there were; Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver.

    Projects: HouseHunters, Heatherfield, NE Therapy and Supagleem.

    Scene Group is a company which designs specially for digital screens and provides a live stream service with their other side of the business which is video production. They needed someone who was familiar with web technologies and knew how to update content on Joomla also how to add videos and other content.

    My key reasonability were to keep the website updated through their cms, redesign there viral marketing campaign and make sure it had validate markup language.

    Software I used while I was working there was Photoshop, Flash, Joomla CMS and Dreamweaver.
