Izzy & Liv is a lifestyle brand dedicated to celebrating women of color and the things they love. We are looking for a talented, Art Director to lead the creative development of our digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion, beauty, community and visual storytelling, highly organized and attentive to detail and has a strong creative portfolio. Applicants must be able to, manage time efficiently, work on multiple projects concurrently, present and explain concepts and ideas and communicate exceptionally well.

  • Provide creative guidance and direction for all content produced across a range of mediums including websites, landing pages, ads, social media content, emails, brand guidelines, print, presentation decks, and product graphics.
  • Perform graphic design work in house as well as decide when and to whom to outsource design projects.
  • Manage and oversee the work of freelance designers and scout and recruit new creative resources (graphic designers, photographers, videographers) to build up our creative team.
  • Determine the overall style and tone desired for each project and articulate their vision to freelancers.
  • Ensure all creative work is reviewed and approved management.
  • Coordinate and manage photo and video shoots including styling and creative direction on shoots. Plan locations to film/shoot.
  • Help guide the development of new brand identities to support new launches.
  • Coordinate with third-party web developers to ensure site updates match the creative vision.
  • Establish and manage a sound process for file and asset management, creative process and pre and post-production processes.
  • Plan and manage workflow across internal and external team members to ensure projects are delivered in agreed timeframes.
  • Stay abreast of new creative trends.
  • Project types may include product design, email, landing pages, website graphics, social media graphics, print and collateral materials, paid ad creative, packaging design, video, photography and more.


  • You are a graphic designer or copywriter but you also have an understanding of the feasibility of creative vision on the backend, and how to lead a team to create distinguished campaigns with a full suite of assets.
  • Experience with graphic design software - Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. Experience with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Excellent typographic skills
  • You have led the development of engaging marketing campaigns, across a variety of platforms and formats
  • Extensive creative experience, preferably in an ad agency or retail/e-commerce brand, overseeing design/creative for digital channels (email, digital paid advertising, in-app, landing pages)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, manage time in an efficient way, and effectively implement creative feedback.
  • Ability to take direction from non-creative stakeholders and translate their business needs into creative effectively motivates our audiences across a variety of channels
  • Degree in graphic/visual design preferred.
  • Online portfolio showcasing past work and design ability (required), to demonstrate great design and layout skills and well-developed typography skills.
  • Keen understanding of current trends in beauty, fashion, design, pop culture, and emerging technologies.
  • Personal desire to keep up with current design trends, standards, and best practices.
