Immerse. Evoke. Reframe. Create. At Landor, that's how we approach design.
We are currently seeking a Design Director to join our San Francisco office.
Could this be you?
Landor builds some of the world's most iconic and agile brands. Our global team of strategic experts and creative explorers solve complex business and brand challenges in unexpected ways. It's one of the reasons we took home four Cannes Lions this past June.
The Design Director will explore and conceptualize design options and solutions that maintain Landor's vision and creative beliefs- 'great ideas expertly and beautifully crafted and delivered with rigor and flair'. You will work either independently or in conjunction with Executive and Creative Directors, fellow Senior Designers and Designers, evaluate design options, develop and push to find 'big ideas' based on design strategy and the creative brief. You will develop straightforward design approaches to complex design challenges across packaging, brand development, corporate identity, mobile, digital and user experience design projects.
What we're looking for
A Design Director, who over the last 10 years, has had experience in a combination of visual, UX/UI and various elements of graphic design working within a brand development, digital, or full service creative environment. He/She has broad creative and management experience (required) with a global sophistication and the ability to adapt to different cultures. You are a strategic thinker, understand branding and love it when you really understand a client's business and arrive at insights that solve their challenges via their brand. You are a team player; understand team interaction and roles of team members. You perform well in a team environment and foster communication and cohesion between internal teams and functions. You have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Graphic design, communication, UX/UI design, fine arts, or a related field.
