Director, Product Management

CFR Digital is seeking a Director of Product Management to join our award-winning team. In this key role you will be pivotal in shaping product strategy and vision by identifying areas of innovation and opportunities for and its products. You and your team will research, define, develop journeys, and maintain a roadmap to best meet the needs of our users, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership.

The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing strategic direction of our products and owning the product roadmap
  • Establish shared vision across teams, stakeholders, and leadership by building consensus on priorities
  • Guide product managers by aligning vision and direction to team roadmaps and by clearly defining requirements, goals, and success criteria for each focus area
  • Lead teams through ideation, design, technical development, and launch of our digital products
  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and features
  • Evangelize products within the Council
  • Champion agile development practices throughout the product development lifecycle


  • Eight or more years combined digital project, product, program management, or related experience
  • Three years of experience supervising and managing a product management team with the ability to mentor and direct across diverse opportunities and challenges
  • Bachelor's Degree or certification in related field
  • Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience
  • Self-starting, results oriented attitude and strong interpersonal, management, and teamwork skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong prioritizing skills
  • Deep experience working within an agile development organization
  • Product or program management experience in publishing or multimedia industry a plus
  • Interest in U.S. foreign policy issues or experience in think tanks or nonprofits a plus
