CoxReps & Gamut is searching for a Graphic Designer to join our marketing team in New York City. As Graphic Designer you will work alongside our Director of Marketing to grow and enhance the Gamut and CoxReps brands and sales efforts. You will be responsible for creating dynamic, thought-provoking materials that span the CMG, CoxReps, and Gamut portfolios. You should be a forward-thinker and perpetual student with an eye toward innovation and the ever-evolving world of media. You will have experience managing digital, print and multimedia creative projects from start to finish. You should possess the ability to translate consumer insights data into compelling and cohesive visuals to be included in presentations, sales materials, collateral, direct email, web sites, videos and more. You will work with multiple teams including marketing, sales, operations, and leadership as well as other groups within the company on specified project needs. We are looking for a designer with 5-7 years of experience in media, marketing or advertising; someone who has working knowledge of both TV and digital media, and someone with a strong portfolio of dynamic design work. The Graphic Designer reports to the Director of Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the creative team to concept and plan execution of projects
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and internal clients to appropriately set expectations
  • Work closely with peer designers and directors to schedule projects and coordinate production
  • Elevate CMG, CoxReps, and Gamut brands through visually exciting presentations, branded collateral, sales materials, video, invitations, and direct email
  • Develop design ideas that work across media, i.e. website, social media, video, and print
  • Design presentation decks, proposals, one sheets, email blasts, trade advertising, event materials & all other branded collateral. Assist in creating graphically engaging new business pitch presentations and materials
  • Respond to marketing & sales team day-to-day requests
  • Follow project from concept to final approval ensuring integrity of creative concept is kept in focus throughout
  • Work efficiently under fast-paced deadlines, proactively getting briefs with feedback to be clear on the direction and minimize rounds
  • Create visual stories from facts & information
  • Solve creative and communicative issues based on brief
  • Coordinate presence at industry events including organization & implementation
  • Use effective time management and organizational skills to maintain effective workflow and meet deadlines
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the field of design and be familiar with industry marketing programs
  • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Work effectively with teammates
  • Provide general assistance to the team with ongoing projects
  • Ensure work consistently answers the brief in terms of look and feel, accuracy, functionality and brand identity
  • Create compelling layouts through excellent use of typography, color and photography that reflect the brand

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years professional design experience in an agency, TV network, or media company
  • High level of competency in PowerPoint, advanced knowledge of industry standard design software and tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign)
  • A keen understanding of design principles and best practices
  • Ability to take direction to meet creative and business needs
  • Extreme attention to detail, consistency, and organization
  • Excellent production and project management skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be adept at problem solving and thinking quick on his/her feet
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Proficient HTML, Flash, and CSS skills a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic / Visual Design, Advertising or Marketing
  • Must have a digital or physical portfolio of prior professional work or school projects that can be viewed at request
