SCOPE & GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

  • Lead and own CBT Nugget's marketing copywriting

  • A deeply experienced marketing copywriter who works closely with content development and external agencies and participates in all stages of the creative process to write materials that bring personality, accuracy and results to our prospect and customer facing marketing communications across all mediums.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce written materials in a variety of formats, including print collateral (press materials, brochures), Web and interactive content, speeches and other thought leadership pieces, taking into account responses from the target community

  • Ensure written materials are clear, concise and persuasive to help bring the program strategy to life

  • Work closely with internal teams and external clients to participate in all stages of the creative process, from brainstorming to conceptual development, thereby contributing to campaign ideas and strategies

  • Understand target audience to translate copy and design into relevant compelling creative

  • Proofread written work and online content

  • Juggle multiple assignments

  • Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands

  • Professionally and effectively communicate with clients, peers and producers, demonstrating sound reasoning and judgment skills

  • Help communicate creative ideas in presentations to internal teams

  • Understand the concept behind creative work and how it achieves marketing and business goals

  • Stay on top of trends in business/industry monitoring and outside resources (e.g., research bodies, academics, industry gurus)

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES/ EDUCATION:

  • Education & Required Experience:

    • BA/BS + equivalent working experience in English or related major

    • 5+ years of experience with copywriting for B2B prospecting and customer communications across all mediums

  • Qualifications

    • At least five years of BtoB copywriting experience, preferably in an agency setting

    • A bachelor's degree, preferably in English or related major

    • Exceptional writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in marketing or advertising, Web, product, brand messaging and promotional copy

    • Experience in an agency environment working with marketing, advertising or PR campaigns, including email, TV, print and social media preferred

    • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively

    • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills

    • Experience working on new campaign presentations and preparing creative themes and taglines

    • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a fast-paced team

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

    • Ability to own projects, demonstrate good judgment when working with team members and client contacts, and take initiative

    • Experience managing day-to-day changes at every level of detail
