Opportunity description

We are currently looking for a self-employed Account Director in New York. This person will support Steps by actively developing our US work by winning and managing new client relationships. The person will also design and write programmes and take them to delivery. In turn, the person will play an important role in growing and maintaining our associate pool in the US.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaboratively design business development strategy to meet agreed targets
  • Responsible for knowing the market of your major clients, techniques and subject areas
  • Targeting new clients (i.e. from zero contact)
  • Be responsible for winning new opportunities
  • Overall strategic management of your clients and to be responsible for all quality assurance, relationships and selling
  • Developing relationships with 3rd parties/partners
  • Be a sounding board / coach to Project Teams on programme design and delivery

The UK and India office will be working closely with the right person over the coming years, providing all the support and mentoring needed to make sure we live our company charter and grow the Steps brand successfully.

Person description

Ideally, we are looking for someone based in New York. The person has to be solution focused and a pleasure to be around. Further the person will have excellent client relationship skills, a strong track record in business development, a solid understanding of learning and development and a passion for drama based development. Even better if you are an excellent actor and facilitator too!

The right person will have knowledge and experience of the corporate world. All of our programmes focus on behaviours, so you will naturally be interested in psychology and the impact of different behaviours on the working environment.
