The Division of Enrollment, Marketing & Communications develops and coordinates messaging of Bridgewater State University to present a consistent image of the institution through the roughly 20 channels it manages. The Division oversees undergraduate admissions, institutional marketing, media relations, digital and print communications, all while offering an array of services to the BSU community.

Position Summary:

Bridgewater State University's Division of Enrollment, Marketing & Communications is seeking an experienced and motivated Marketing Associate to join our growing team. As a Marketing Associate, you will be responsible for planning and implementing marketing strategies and advertising campaigns for the university. You will set goals; help acquire leads and evaluate outcomes using analytics. Qualified candidates must possess a thorough understanding of pay-per-click strategies and digital advertising across a host of channels, and experience creating consistent brand messaging across multiple marketing channels.

Supervision Received: Director of Marketing

This is an APA position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement.

Tour of Duty: Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 5:00(Saturday and Sundays as days off)

Essential Duties:

Develop the strategy and setup of external paid campaigns, including PPC advertising, display, retargeting and social media campaigns.

Measure and optimize our paid marketing using vendor-specific dashboards, Google Analytics, and marketing analytics reports.

Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.

Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.

Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests.

Collaborates with internal teams to create SEO-rich landing pages to optimize conversion.

Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

Identifies critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels.

Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all paid programs.

Collaborates with agencies and other vendor partners.

Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies.

Craft landing pages and lead generation forms for our content to distribute through relevant paid programs.

Identifying target markets and devising marketing campaigns to help meet institutional goals tied to enrollment and brand awareness.

Producing marketing/advertising materials, with an emphasis on strategy and messaging.

Coordinating with designers, writers, web developers, photographers, and videographers to manage the development of all assets (such as digital banner ads, social media ads, landing pages or videos) required for every campaign.

Managing multiple projects and communicating with internal clients and stakeholders.

Working with various external agencies and vendors to implement marketing strategies.

Collecting and analyzing data to forecast trends and opportunities for future action and shifts in direction.

Conducting competitive research and gleaning insights from available market research.

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS in Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marketing Associate or similar role

In-depth knowledge of the various paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search (Google Ads), retargeting, social network advertising (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more).

Commitment to customer service excellence/support to enhance an environment of equity, diversity and inclusion.

Knowledge of marketing digital tools and techniques

Strong computer skills

Experience with SEO efforts/campaigns

Excellent communicator with the ability to sell and convince

Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis

Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate

Strong problem-solving and time-management skills

Excellent presentation skills

Experience creating and maintaining client relationships

Self-motivated yet customer-focused

Proven working experience in digital marketing, aka, leading and managing SEO/SEM, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

Experience in optimizing landing pages, understanding of A/B and multivariate testing and website and marketing analytics tools
