As a User Experience Specialist/Designer you will work to translate business objectives into compelling customer-centric digital marketing strategies that create satisfying experiences for our customers, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis.
In this role you will demonstrate a strong skill in all aspects of User Experience Design including creative problem solving, user experience research, context scenarios, conceptualization, visual design and development, information architecture, branding, and prototyping. You will help to shape the overall user experience of greatdane.com desktop and mobile platforms, as well as several other key digital products that influence the buyer journey, including UX interaction with physical products. This role will also be an integral part of various web and mobile projects including internal branding and communication, as well as sales and marketing enablement tools aimed at driving employee engagement.
Work with internal and external clients to understand their goals, and to define and clarify digital product requirements
Develop personas, context scenarios, sitemaps, and navigational schemes to inform the design of our digital products
Responsible for the structural organization of information across various system platforms including desktop, web, and mobile
Illustrate design ideas by creating sketches, wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows that lead to intuitive user experiences
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
Create product prototypes using wireframing software like Mockplus or InVision
Map customer journeys and understand user behavior at various stages of the decision making process to create lo- to mid- level comps with quickness and agility
Conduct usability testing using guerrilla-style and protocol-style research, where necessary, for validation
Create style guides to define UI elements
Revise and enhance designs based on stakeholder and user feedback, technical input, and business decisions to ensure wireframes and visual designs align with the overall vision
Assist with content development
Participate in competitor and customer assessments

Education, Professional Experience and Skills:
Must have a robust portfolio of both visual design and wireframe/prototype projects in digital and mobile efforts
At least 5 years' experience working in a Digital, UX or Visual Design role
Must have experience being responsible for high-level IA and user context scenarios
BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
Highly motivated, self-starter who is able to work well in teams or independently
Ability to thrive in an agile environment that mixes both long-term visions and shorter enterprise deadlines
Highly-adaptable and able to pivot due to changing requirements or client feedback
Able to translate findings into clear guidance for other designers and developers
Software / Technology Skills
Expert user of Adobe design products
Highly proficient in Mockplus, Axure, InVision or other wireframing tools
Deep understanding of responsive design
Understanding of component-based front-end architecture and dynamic page views
Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is required work at a computer terminal for long periods of time; walk indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions; lift boxes up to 50lbs; push/pull up to 40lbs; bend; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distance vision.
Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Work is primarily performed in an office setting.
