The Art of Life as an Art of Surviving
Guiliette's journey into beauty and fashion is one of resilience, creativity, and fearless reinvention.
Born to a diplomat father and a German mother, Guiliette was raised by her aunt and uncle, who were traveling Carnival Show People. Her Uncle was not only cutting Silhouettes at the Carnival, but he was also a well-known Artist. Watching him paint the big Monsters of the Ghost Train, surrounded by the smell of colours and Polyester, everything was glittery and loud, there, she developed her love for art and got introduced to Showbiz at an early Age.
Her world shifted again when she became engaged to Izzy Stradlin, guitarist and founding member of Guns N’ Roses. Touring the globe and standing backstage with rock legends. It was Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones who gave her the idea of becoming a makeup artist—advice she took to heart.
Embracing this new direction, Guiliette enrolled at Joe Blasco’s Makeup School in Los Angeles, earning her diploma. After Graduation, her Friend Meegan Hodges lead her to New York City, checked her into a Model Apartment, and got her started on testing with emerging Photographers and building up her portfolio. She further expanded her expertise by attending hair styling workshops at Vidal Sassoon in NYC and later at Mod’s Hair in Germany while assisting various artists worldwide.
Returning to Europe, Guiliette quickly established herself in the fashion industry. Represented by top agencies, she led makeup teams for fashion shows across Germany and specialized in beauty, fashion, editorials and commercials. Her dedication led her to work on music videos, catalogs, e-commerce, as well as styling and image creation for celebrities.
Guiliette co-founded a makeup workshop with Mod’s Hair in Germany and went on to work with top artists at fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, New York, and London. She served as head of body makeup for the Victoria’s Secret Show in London alongside Dick Page. Since 2010, she's been part of the Number One elite Team for fashion Shows in the world.
Her film credits include key roles on “Gegen den Wind – Die Rückkehr,” with Ralf Bauer, and now she’s channeling her journey into her first book. "Matte or Glossy"—a creative business guide on becoming a makeup artist, hairstylist, and stylist in the fashion and entertainment industry.
