My name is Jake Hockenberry, and I am a recent college graduate of the University of Cincinnati majoring in Digital Media. I am experienced in production assistance, communications, and especially photography. My main focus is digital portrait photography, but I also enjoy landscape photography whenever I get the chance to travel. I am an avid backpacker, videographer, and I dabble in 35mm photography when I have film on hand.
I got my start in photography when my mother gifted me a Canon T6i for my 17th birthday, which I used to photograph friends and family. Following my first year of college I gained an internship through Amazon with their photo studio in Hebron, Kentucky. This was a huge opportunity for me that allowed me to gain experience not only in a photo studio, but also assisting in production processes and professional customer service opportunities with the wide array of clientele that employed Amazon to capture shots of clothing, models, and merchandise for their websites. This was primarily a commercial production studio which had the ability to capture hundreds of pieces of commercial products daily, from customer products to products within the warehouse posted to the official Amazon website through their personal brand.
