Over the past two decades, Dug has been designing and building skateparks and action sports facilities on all seven continents. Dug has both national and international experience working with the biggest names in Action Sports, helping to create environments to suit all levels of athletes and participants. Whether at the drawing board or on site, his creative talent, expertise of the industry, and hands on experience gives him the ability to make educated decisions and quickly visualize a clients dream to reality. He has developed his own systems of Live Design using some of the most advanced software and technology to quickly bring clients ideas and visions to fruition in a matter of hours. While working with Joe Ciaglia (California Skateparks) and Brian Harper (California RampWorks), he was responsible for designing notable projects such as 28 unique X Games Courses, the DC Embassy in Barcelona, The Red Bull Triples set, Danny Way's backyard in Kauai, and the 2014/15 Dew Tour downhill street courses. Prior to California RampWorks, Dug saw his passion through designing, building, and managing skateparks across Indiana, North Texas, and Florida. At the age of 17, his first project, Flounder Skatepark, won 3 state community awards inspiring surrounding cities to build skateparks of their own. Other early projects included: GPX Skatepark, ESPN X Games Skatepark, Anderson Skate Park, United Skatepark of Dallas, Havik Skatepark, and Stone Edge Skatepark. Dug attended Purdue University and studied architecture before moving into the skateboard industry as a professional. Dug has been a key asset to the future development of action sports progression. He is currently studying Industrial Design at the Art Institute of Portland.
