Titus V. Thomas is a commercial artist from NYC. He has worked for critically acclaimed shows such as The Little Bill Show, Dora the Explorer & Backyardigans on Nick Jr. He also served as a graphic designer for various companies such as NBA Entertainment, Atlantic Studios and as the Creative Projects Director for American Christmas, Inc. Titus is also an award winning children's book illustrator for the books entitled Everybody Eats Lunch, Where Does The Iguana Sleep and Stick and Move.
SR. GRAPHIC ARTIST
Responsibilities include working in the Creative Services Department for the Deputy Commisioner of Public Information (DCPI) for The New York City Police Department. We are responsible for all of the Public Relations and Marketing of the NYPD via Advertising Design, Print Media, Video and Social Media worldwide.
Responsibilities include working closely with the Press Secretary and various members of the Press Office on projects related to creation and designing of graphic collateral for the Office of Mayor Ras J. Baraka . This includes social media content, signage, pamphlets, flyers, news ads etc.
CREATIVE PROJECTS DIRECTOR
Responsibilities include working closely with the company owners on the designing and execution of projects related to the Virtuous Living brand. This includes social media campaigns, product and package designs , promotional products, etc.
ARTOTRA GALLERIES, LTD
Responsibilities included being the liaison between the art gallery and their premiere artist, Oleg Falkov, continued business rapport with company partner, The Wendt Gallery (based in NYC, Laguna Beach, Austria, Indonesia), updating content for company website, designed online marketing advertisements for gallery etc.
CREATIVE PROJECTS DIRECTOR/EVENT DESIGNER
Responsibilities include designing and executing projects attached to national retail component, working directly with the Chief Executive of the Creative Department, creating conceptual visual renderings for the Sales Department and supervising freelance decorators during the holiday installation period of the year . Client base includes Radio City Music Hall, Ann Taylor, Bergdorf Goodman, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Banana Republic etc.
CONCEPTUAL DESIGNER/PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Responsibilities included designing of fashion based accessories for most MP3 players, creating detailed line sheets & spec sheets for factory production, liaison to the companies’ public relations firm and the creation of company brand logos "Fashionation” and “Cases 4a Cause".
Illustrator and Graphic Designer for 2008 award-winning book entitled“Everybody Eats Lunch”. Currently in stores nation wide including Barnes and Nobles, Borders, Amazon and Target Responsibilities included design of The Creative Kitchen brand, character designs, and graphics for company website (www.thecreativekitchen.com) etc..
Responsibilities included preparing, color correcting and transferring player head shots and game photos to be used for on-air highlights on NBA TV, ESPN and other network sports shows.
Responsibilities included graphics and illustrations for apparel featured in the spring/fall 2000 clothing line.
Responsible for converting all scripts based on the children television show "The Little Bill Show" into illustrations. Assisted in developing test-marketing techniques for field research team. Co-story boarded various episodes and also worked on shows such as “Dora the Explorer” & “Backyardagains”
Designed backdrop for radio station 97.1 FM "Summer Jam" concert. Assisted in stage design for ESPN's show "Extreme Games" and Broadway play "Dream Girls".
Developed props, scenic designs, t-shirt designs, promotional flyers, graphics and illustrations for annual Halloween Event as well as other recreational events & programs within Flushing Meadows - Corona Park. Created “Kids Day Out” annual event while also building up sponsorship program with major companies such as Warner Bros., Marvel Comics, Tommy Hilfiger, Chase Manhattan Bank, etc. Also created art related internship program where students from local high schools were taught about portfolio presentation, mural design & corporate instruction from artists at MTV and Nickelodeon Studios.
