My practice is based on the slowness of researching, recording, documenting and finally making. I see this process as an act of resistance in our fast-paced, disposable, digitally mediated world.

I’m drawn to the narrative possibilities of places -- be they real or imagined. This narrative-based approach leads to the creation of thresholds to worlds – worlds that range from the very big right down to the very small, carried through human gestures or light and shadow. These worlds all sit close to our own yet feel slightly estranged, echoing our unreliable, impressionistic human memory coloured by longing, loss and all-too-brief moments of joy.
