Hello my name is Rex. I am a creature/character designer. Drawing and creating characters with compelling visuals have always been the core of my focus. I have worked on projects closely with amazing artists from the animation industry, such as Pixar and Sony Pictures. I also have worked at Electronic Arts as a character designer for mobile games and have experience working with talented people in the field for the past eight years.

Commission Terms & Information

  • Process: Commissions are completed in my established style. If there's a specific style you like that I've worked on, please provide examples of my work you like so we can discuss your vision before I begin.
  • Subject Matter: I specialize in creatures, but also accept characters and animals.
  • Commercial Use: These terms apply to personal use only. Please contact me before booking if this is for commercial purposes, as pricing and processes will differ.
  • Policy Updates: Terms may change, but your order will remain governed by the policies in place at the time of booking


Prices

  • Pricing Listed rates are starting points and may increase based on project complexity. Each request is assessed individually. Rates apply to personal, non-commercial use only.
  • I accept payment via PayPal. A 50% deposit is required to start, and the final 50% is due once the piece is finished.


Process & DeliverySpecs

  • Please specify your required file format and resolution at the start. Otherwise, I will default to 300 dpi.
  • Requests for changes after delivery may incur extra fees.


Timeline

  • Typical turnaround is one week for a single character and two weeks to two months for multiple characters, depending on complexity and current workload. I will notify you promptly of any potential delays.
  • After payment, I will provide a sketch for your approval. You may request up to 3 revisions at this stage. Further changes or major revisions after sketch approval will incur an extra fee($25 for each), unless I missed a previously discussed detail.
  • Final Delivery Upon completion, I will send your artwork at full resolution via email


Copyright Ownership

  • I retain all copyrights to the artwork.
  • Personal Use: Commissions are for personal use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or use them for profit without prior agreement.
  • Posting: I reserve the right to display commissioned work in my portfolio. If you prefer to keep your commission private, please let me know.
  • Sharing: You may post your commission on social media or personal sites, provided you credit me as @sanbarex or Rex Ma

    Alterations
  • You may not edit or hire others to alter my artwork without my consent.
  • Liability: I am not responsible for any improper or illegal use of the final artwork by the client.
  • By providing references, you confirm you own the rights to the characters or elements depicted.
