General info
Artist | Art Teacher | Graphic Designer
Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Stephanie began her exploration in art while attending an art elementary school; there, she learned how to paint watercolor and write Chinese calligraphy. She further developed art skills at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, MA, where she studied oil painting and drawing and participated in several art shows. Stephanie went on to obtain a BFA in graphic design at the Massachusetts College of Arts and Design, and worked as a graphic designer at a weekly magazine company.

Stephanie obtained a Masters in Teaching Visual Arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where she received the Marian Churchill Scholarship Award in Art Education and the Graduate Fellowship Art Education Award in 2007. After graduating, she taught high school and middle school art at Montrose Christian School in Rockville, Maryland for two years.

Stephanie has shown works at the Art League Gallery and the Workhouse Arts Center. She had a solo art show at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, and will participate a group show "Impermanence" at Delaware Art Museum. These days, her focus is classical portrait and figures. She looks for inspiration from nature, the beauty of human figures, and the works of great masters; she creates drawings and paintings that celebrate beauty in and around her. She now paints and teaches art classes for children and adults in her home studio in McLean, VA. Her creative studio art classes emphasize techniques for drawing, painting, 3D arts, and art history.
