Content Marketing Specialist

The Content Marketing Specialist is chiefly responsible for developing compelling content that supports our marketing objectives across digital platforms. This position will be equal parts strategy and execution, creating engaging and insightful content that supports revenue growth, sales enablement, and customer education across different customer segments and lifecycle stages.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to create compelling content that drives traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and increase customer retention across a variety of B2B marketing channels, including website, social, white papers, and blog.
  • This role requires a journalist and/or reporter mindset: to create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion.
  • Provide fresh and creative approaches to content strategy to most effectively reach and more importantly engage our target customers.
  • Leverage any key insights available from customers, industry news, research, and other sources to build content that is relevant.
  • Adapt editorial and marketing content to post and publish to social media communities.
  • Handle outreach to industry influencers for content syndication.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to develop thought leadership content such as blogs, white papers, case studies, press releases, and articles.
  • Maintain content calendar and proactively uncover new opportunities for content creation and distribution which align with overall business and marketing objectives.
  • Analyze results and adjust strategy based on content performance.
  • Maintain on-going communication with all relevant stakeholders regarding the status of active projects and provide feedback/metrics for completed projects.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our target audience and buyer profiles as well as effective engagement strategies at each stage of the sales cycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media, eCommerce and B2B marketing trends and innovations and work with management to incorporate them into marketing plans.


  • Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, and/or Public Relations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing and/or communication experience.
  • 3+ years of content marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Previous experience working in a B2B environment, preferably luxury home/retail industry or interior design industry.
  • Strong understanding of B2B content marketing trends and SEO best practices.
  • Ability to independently develop and implement communications plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills including copywriting and editing.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Both creative and analytical; able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Understanding of data analytics and measurement.
  • Must possess excellent Creative Suite skills and is comfortable using new technologies
  • Proficient with MS Excel.
  • Organized, detail oriented, self-motivating, problem solver.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Creative eye for layout and composition of a page.
