Apricot Lane farms is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to collaborate with us in a freelance position. Apricot Lane Farms is an organic, biodynamic, 5 time Emmy Award winning farm in Moorpark, California. Our team has been charged with the mission of creating a well-balanced ecosystem that produces nutrient-dense foods. Our hope is that we can grow great tasting food while treating the environment and the animals with respect. With a restaurant on the way, a booming film department, and a full working farm, we would love to find someone excited to help us grow our brand.

As our Freelance Designer, you will work closely with our head farmer to create and fine tune our branding. We have already begun rebranding, so this position will have the task of editing, refining, and re-working existing materials to make a final cohesive line representing our farm. Applications will include print, marketing, packaging, and web materials. This position may also branch out to other needs as they arise including web content, social media, and miscellaneous design needs for the farm.

First 30-60 days: 25-40 hrs/week

Possible ongoing work around 20 hrs/week with increase upon Restaurant opening.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years applicable graphic design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design/art or related field preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud:
    • InDesign
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • Acrobat
  • Keen sense of design, typography and attention to detail, with the ability to take direction and communicate creatively.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and the ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of social media trends and best practices of digital content creation
  • Basic understanding of CSS/HTML, Adobe Premier & After Effects a plus
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint/Keynote and Microsoft Office
  • Diverse design styles preferred
