Job Description:

Our well known financial services client located downtown Chicago is looking for an experienced Visualization Engineer / Designer to join their team in a full time capacity.

As a Visualization Engineer / Designer you will help build custom visualizations, data-rich user interfaces, and visualization components to help teams reason through the endless amounts of data. You'll work with the latest web technologies including d3 and React, and influence web, desktop, and mobile applications.

Responsibilities may include:

- Build visual interfaces for communicating data

- Work with Data Engineers & Analysts to build features

- Participate in design and code reviews

Ideal candidates will:

- be an expert with Javascript and knowledge of multiple libraries and frameworks (D3, React)

- have strong UI & UX skills to build mobile, web, and desktop interfaces

- have a passion for data visualization and analysis

- participate in open source forums and/or meet ups to influence technologies

Previous experience at a large tech firm is strongly preferred for this role.
